{03-December-2001}:
Nirvana! We had forgotten how great Tony Romas ribs and
menu items really were...it has been a long time since
we've been able to get to one of their restaurants. We
now have two of them in Maryland, one in Owings Mills and
another in Bowie.
Although the current annoying trend of carpetless and noisy
venues, along with TVs hanging all around the restaurant,
has made its way even to Tony Romas (the California variety
provided a very pleasant/quiet dinning experience),
you would be hard put to find a
better place to find excellent quality ribs and sauces. The
onion loaf was great along with the many sauces available at
table side including what we felt were the best, the Blue
Ridge Smokies and Tony Romas Hots. One can purchase bottles
of the sauces at the restaurant for a very reasonable price
of $2.79 per bottle. Needless to say, we did not leave without
purchasing several. Our service was also excellent, another
pleasant change compared to many Maryland establishements.
AND, another very welcome difference is that one does not have
to run the gaunlet of putrid smoke from the smoking section
near the bar to get to the restrooms. Finally, a restaurant
design that makes sense.
All in all, we felt like we were in heaven eating at the
Owings Mills Tony Romas...something we expect to repeat often!

No review as yet since the restaurant just opened recently,
but you can't lose with Tony Romas. Finally a really good
rib and chicken chain in Maryland. Tony Romas restaurants
are among the best across the country and very reasonably
priced. We'll be heading out that a'way very soon!
