Personal Review :
I know it's a chain restaurant, and there are more and more of them opening
up all the time. But, they're good, and always busy. (We've been to two of
the Olive Garden Restaurants in Tucson, AZ). We went out to the
new Olive Garden on the perimeter road of White Marsh Mall the first time in
June 1996). Both the food and service were excellent. AND the entire
restaurant is NON-SMOKING (a fact that hasn't hurt their business one bit!).
The tasty dishes we tried on this occasion began with the Zuppa Toscana, a very tasty and spicy creamy soup with sausage and potatoes. The main dishes included the Mediterranean Garlic Shrimp and the new Chicken Abondanza special. The Mediterranean dish included a few small shrimp on a bed of linguine mixed with garlic and some hot peppers. Got a zing from that one. Great! (Hasn't been like that since. Something about Baltimore; food just ends up losing its edge after awhile. They just can't take the heat). The Chicken Abondanza was an assortment of grilled chicken breast, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Cannelloni al Forno (2). Even though we were both nearly stuffed to the gills with a tasty variety of dishes, we broke down and ordered the White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. Ummmm! We finished off the meal with the Olive Garden Cappuccino. We had to be rolled out in a wheelbarrow, but it was worth it! The only potential downside is that the noise level in the restaurant can be high. We were there late so it wasn't bad. Prices are reasonable. This is definitely one restaurant we will visit again.
