Personal Review :
We heard about Great Fortune from a friend and from an email response
to this web site. So, we decided to give it a try. Well, for the
most part, the recommendations were not bad. The buffet selection
provided by Great Fortune is very good and varied with many seafood
selections as well as some good Dim Sum dishes. We've enjoyed it
so much, we've been back a couple times. The atmosphere is nice,
and the smokers section is isolated enough that the smoke is not
usually too noticeable. The prices are very reasonable and the
service is good...especially when you want those dirty dishes
cleared off.
We only have a couple issues with Great Fortune. They use a lot of cheese for their 'stuffed' items, or as toppings for dishes like the seafood items. Good flavor, but it does take away from the natural flavor of the seafood and can be a bit overpowering. Also, many of the dishes are rather greasy. Again, while the flavor might be good, the greasiness takes away for the overall experience.

Personal Review: 08-April-2003
As I noted in my first review, the selection and general experience
of eating at Great Fortune Buffet has been reasonably positive for us.
However, after a recent visit to our favorite Chinese buffet
restaurant near our place in West Virgina (Martinsburg area), I must
emphasize that the comment regarding the greasy nature of the fare
at Great Fortune stands out even more. The dinner at Golden
China in Martinsburg was superb, and greaseless. As soon as we took
a bite, it was like heaven compared to Great Fortune Buffet. We'll
still eat at Great Fortune when in Baltimore, but it can't beat
our favorite in WV.
