Personal Review (10 July 2002:
A group of four of us from Space Telescope zipped into Chu's China Bistro
for lunch yesterday. We arrived at about 12:30 and had no problem getting a
table. Less than 30 minutes later they were packed. The outside of the
building is not that impressive, but once inside, the surroundings, while
a bit crowded, are pleasant. The food was excellent. All meals are Kosher,
and, of course, you won't find any Pork dishes on this menu. We had entrees
that included the Orange Chicken (with extra spice to liven it up a bit),
Chicken
with Garlic Sauce, Lo Mein, and Beef with Green Pepper. All were very tasty
and filling. We all started with the Hot & Sour soup...not the hotest I've
had, but still very good and thick with Tofu, etc. Prices were very reasonable
at $7.50 for each lunch entree. I believe the restaurant is non-smoking since
we didn't encountered any smokers.
David Chu's China Bistro is definitely a restaurant worth a return visit.
