Finished for Now

I wrote the first version of the final report onthe web roadmap
project. It's not complete because I haven't got Craig's conclusions
yet. After I do, I'll add them and pass the report around for
comment.

Final Report

I started working on the final report for the web roadmap project,
even though it isn't finished yet. I also submitted a Zope move
request for the fix to rss_link.

Finished Twogyro

I found and fixed the bugs in twogyro. Then I reviewed the branch
charter and sent my suggestions to Steve and updated the web roadmap
project wiki with the cureent project status.

More Debug

I spent the day trying to debug the revised twogyro script. The
main problem is in generating the data file name from the cgi
parameters. I haven't quite got it right yet.

Twogyro

I rewrote the twogyro script to make it cycle independent by
selecting the cycle number based on the script name (it will be soft
linked.) I moved the data fuiles into subdirectories based on cycle
and segreagated the configuration variables that are configuration
dependent. I am now debugging the code.

More Palm Phone List

The problem is that Outlook won't read the Palm Phonelist. One of
two problems occurs: it either rejects the file outright or it
hangs. I tried several strategies: reading the file into Excel and
using it to write a comma separated (CSV) file. It got a format
error. I also tried reading into Excel and saving as an Excel
spreadsheet. It hung. I searched the web for info and didn't come up
with much. So I'm stuck until I get a bright idea(tm). I also helped
Greg get Blosxom set up, so he can have a weblog just like this
one!

Several Days

Over the past several days I've worked the outstanding calls on my
todo list. I resolved the problem with the sage TWiki (which turned
out not to be a problem at all.) nI installed the latest security
hotfix from Zope. And I've been working on the Palm phonelist
problem. It won't accept the file as valid CSV, even though it looks
right to me. More work is needed.

Page Templating

I moved the ST Page Template code into the instance of Zope Greg
and Leigh are using (battra:8090). And I created new instances the the
page template methods that they had written. So far everything seems
to work fine. Then I read up on page templates in the latesy Zope Book so I could
assist Greg and Leigh.

Zope Page Templates

I talked with Greg about refactoring Leigh's work on zope page
templates and revived my code for indenting html to show its structure
so I could better understand what Leigh had done.

Fixing Scripts

I finished the pagecheck script and put it on Omaha. I thought I
received a complaint on the diffutils installation on pasunx and
bubba. I researched it, found that there was no problem, and informed
the customer, who said he had no issues. Mike Wiggs asked that
Astroweb links be excluded from the badlinks report. I researched the
issue and advised him to delete the obsolete page they were linked
from. My searchterms script can no longer report on the internal
search engine, so I deleted the code that checks for it from the
script.
