What to Do

While waiting on the next phase of the Zope project, I went back to
fixing the alternate phone field in LDAP.

Put It to Bed

I wrote up the test plan for the LDAP Palm phonelist fix and marked
the problem as resolved. I had second thoughts about the fix Gary
requested for netstats, so I changed how the date range was
calculated, tested it, and notified Gary of the change. The rest of
the day was taken out because of my physical therapy appointment.

Two Fixes

I modified the front end of the netstats script so that if the user
sets the start and end date to the same value, it sets the range to
one day. This was a request by Gary. I also fixed the problem with the
LDAP Palm phonelist, but was unable to check it into CVS.

Approaching

I put the test plan on the wiki and worked some more on the LDAP
palm phonelist problem. Garry asked to change the netstats script so
that it will report results for a single day.

Documentation

I did some testing on the LDAP Palm phone list fix. It failed the
test and I will have to investigate why. I tested the Zope
installation on 8083. It passed. I started documenting the test
plan. I will complete that tomorrow.

Done?

We installed the development and test instances of Zope. I ran the
test suite and everything worked fine. I made a change to the ldap
palm phonelist to exclude affiliates and I made some final format
changes to the ldap generated staff list at Robin's request.

This and That

I think I finally resolved the problem with the ldap staff list
report. This was done by trial and error / divide and
conquer. Tomorrow I'l know for sure. I submitted a call to remove the
PythonMethod product. I tested the installation of Zope on battra. I
tested a move request by Mike Wiggs. And I looked at an ldap / email
problem reported by Bobby Edwards before handing it off to Otto.

Pack Up, Move Out

Today's a short day because of rehab and a doctor's appointment. I
put the latest version of squid into CVS, updated the zope startup
scripts, read up on how to exclude files from gnu tar, and wrote a
small Perl script to list binary extensions in a directory tree.

A Little Bit More

Today I revised the ldap staff report so it fits on a page. I
tested a small change to the standard header for Craig. And I revised
the zope startup script so that it captures the pid when run with Zope
2.7.5.

Zope the Third

Today Greg and I rebuilt zope and zeo on gorgo for the 8082, 8083,
and 8084 instances. I also worked on ldapreport, which has the
distressing tendency of oberflowing the right side of the page.
