I completed my Power Point presentation for Thursday's talk and
emailed it to Calvin. I searched around the web for a free LDAP editor
because I was so sick of the Sun supplied editor. I found and
installed this ldap
browser, which at
least is better than what I've had to now. I set the preliminary
agenda for this week's infrastructure meeting.I reviewed the project
plan for Remedy that Greg had drawn up. And I reviewed my existing
code to see what scripts could be used for the Plone evaluation. As
far as I can tell, only trouble is suitable.

I got tozope.pl to work and finished writing my talk. Have a happy
Thanksgiving.

Today we bought and intalled SSL certificates for ldap. I also tried
to debug the tozope.pl fix, but failed.

I applied a Security path to TWiki (call number 510503), wrote up the
fix I made to the Sybase Adapter at Jim's request, and modified the
tozope script so that it deletes the file if it already exists (call
number 510544). The last change still needs to be tested.

I finished debugging the script and started writing the talk. I also
added several more search engines to the searchterms script after
looking at the log files.

With Greg's help I resolved the Remedy connection problem and now we
have a functioning Zope server that runs under Red Hat Enterprise. I
also worked at writing the example script for my Open Technology talk.

I found the problem with the Sybase adapter. It was a missing
configuration file, objectid.dat. Copying the file into the proper
cofig directory allows Zope to start up with a functioning adapter. We
still need to configure the Remedy connector properly and I asked Greg
for the proper parameters.

I spent the day tring to debug the Sybase adapter for Zope, which
isn't working under Red Hat Enterprise. I also checked the twogyro
script to see if it would work with Ron's modifications to the IDL
script. As far as I can tell, it will.

I was away on ldap training Tuesday through Thursday. I fixed an ldap
issue for Greg Masci and modified badlinks to rotate the default
curator.
