I installed the STWebsite fix on production. There was a problem with
the test version of Zope on zps that mad it inoperable. I got support
to stop Zope on zps, restarted it, packed the database, and restarted
it again. I did some research for the LDAP 2 Project and started
creating a project plan for it. Finally, I did some further research
on the printable page problem, using this web site as a test vehicle.

I finished testing tozope.pl this morning and then made an additional
change. The script now supports relative links. After lunch I looked
at writing a printable method, which would display a page minus its
navigation.

I finally figured out the problem with tozope.pl. As always, it's
something very simple that makes me feel foolish. The contributors
metadata item needed to have the lines type, so it would be read as a
sequence. So now tozope.pl works and I was able to start testing. I
verified that uploading the files do not bloat the database. Tomorrow
I will check the metadata.

Essential CSS and DHTML for Web
Professionals
looks like an interesting book.

In the morning I added code to the TSD project wiki that creates a
link to the outstanding call associated with the wiki. Jim was having
a problem with his code that builds the met tags. I suggested a work
around that solved the problem. In the afternoon we had a long
meeeting about what meetings we needed to handle our workflow.

Pretty much the entire day was spent in a futile attempt to track down
the problem in tozope.pl, about which the less said, the better. I
also tested Jims fix to switch categories on the procedure
catalog. The test "worked" but I have doubts about the whole idea.

Sean said the cgi script to dump the environment
variables that I
emailed me didn't work. I checked it out and it was a problem with an
extra blank at the end of a line. And you thought Python was the only
language that cared about blanks. Then I beat my head against the
metadata upload problem in my tozope.pl script. I didn't resolve it,
but the upload crashes on line 133 of the metadataEdit method. Leigh
and Steve reported a permissions problem with my STWebsite product. It
turns out the problem is that I used the "view" permission rather
than the "View" permission. Mike Wiggs was have a problem with the set
status page in the TSD project wiki. It turns out that he left a blank
line in the list of statuses and the problem went away when it was
deleted. The problem I was having with the project wiki yesterday has
mysteriously disappeared. I won't complain.

Jim Grice has set up a web page,
but there's nothing on it yet.

I worked on the project wiki, but I couldn't seem to get the automatic
id creation to work. So I switched to debugging the tozope method and
ran into a problem uploading the metadata. I think the problem has to
do with setting metadata types. I changed some code, but will have to
test it tomorrow.

I wanted to finish the TSD project wiki, but didn't quite make it. I
did the stuff I mentioned yesterday, and also changed the page
formatting and added the camelback code. However, I wasn't able to
hook up the automatic id generation via the camelBack.

Watch out, the cops are
coming. A
judge has ruled a web site is illegal because it can't be accessed by
the visually impaired.

I spent all day working on the TSD project wiki. I worked at combining
Mike Wigg's code with my slimmed down version of the viewWiki
procedure. I also added the ability to set a call number, which
doesn't yet work. In addition to getting this to work, I want to get
rid of technicalLead and replace it with call number on the top page.

In the morning I wrote up the minutes from yesterday's lessons learned
meeting for the remedy project and posted it on the remedy project
page. I also
did a preliminary version of the LDAP 2 project
page. In the
afternoon I worked on debugging the tozope script and I talked with
Jim about what was wrong with my revised project wiki.
