I fixed two problems in the Zope statistics script. Anne suggested I
track external and internal searches. I'll do that when I can find the
time. I had a long meeting with Lisa to discuss the project to modify
Remedy reporting. And I was out for four hours this morning.

Today was Zope bug fixes and testing. I tested Jeff Stys' ngst doc
uploader and it seems to work. I ran into some problems with the
audience keyword. I made a one line mod to the zope rc file so it
could find its pid file. I did other small stuff I can't recall right
now.

I tested the sudo startup script for Zope and found a problem with the
stop section. I traced the problem to a missing environment variable,
CLIENT_HOME. Later in the morning I finished up the Remedy Rework
requirements and sent them off to Lisa. In the afternoon I tracked
down the cause of the bug that was causing ess/find all products to
return bad urls. I transferred that problem over to Greg. I did some
book keeping in Remedy and fixed the audience keyword on
8083. Tomorrow I need to test it. I also set up Mozilla as my mail
reader.

I spent the day chasing after bugs in zope. I punted the problem with
the second level navigation bar. I checked the STISonly stuff and it
works to my satisfaction. I told the ESS folks not to use relative
urls in their navigation. And I misunderstood the problem Edwin was
having with exposed internal pages.

Most of the day was spent writing the requirements for the rework of
remedy. There were also some problems with zope on zps. It looks like
it was crashing because of disk space problems, but this needs a
closer look. I also looked at fixing the local navigation bar, but
only seem to have made the problem worse.

I installed the latest version of STObjects and the project wiki fix
on feline. I then went back and installed this week's changes on zach
and maestro. I took the NASA security tutorial, updated the zope calls
in remedy, and took a look at the stis and ess permission problems. I
also moved teh audience keyword change to the test system.

Today I tried to determine what the requirements for the remdy
redesign. And I moved the Handbook link fix and Display format fix to
the production server.

Today's work was divided between acting as Zope administrator and
playing at managing the remedy redesign. I put the project plan for
the remedy redesign on the wiki. This will have to be redone, as we
don't have the requirements nailed down yet. And I moved a bunch of
zope updates to the test system.

I moved three fixed to production:

the 404 error page

the fix for computing the modification time in the Request Wiki

The removal of the imgsrc definition from Navigation

I moved two changes to test:

the fix for growing urls in the data handbooks

the new method of computing imgsrc

I also wrote a new perl script zopestats. Zopestats replaces repeater,
a script I ran as a cron job every morning. Zopestats prints repeating
urls, as repeater did, but it also prints Zope process statistics
pulled from top and the top search terms. The script was written
by combining parts of the repeater, watch_top, and searchterm Perl
scripts.

I think I finally fixed the problem in weblint that made it leave
temporary files behind. After lunch I wrote tozope.pl with Jim,
which is a simplified upload to Zope script that doesn't set metadata.
